Scale
  • 1 orange (zest and juice)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 16 ounces red seedless grapes
  • 12 ounces blackberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 large sweet apples

  3. Place grapes and blackberries in a large bowl.
  4. Cube the apples into bite-sized pieces last and add them to the bowl.
  5. Add chopped pecans (or reserve pecans to add just before serving to keep them extra crunchy).

  7. Toss gently until all pieces are evenly coated.
  8. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Zest the orange before juicing for easier prep and less mess., Slice apples last to prevent browning before tossing with dressing., Add pecans just before serving if you prefer them extra crunchy., You can swap fruits such as pears, pomegranate arils, figs, or persimmons for variety., Swap pecans with toasted walnuts, sliced almonds, or hazelnuts to change the flavor., Use honey instead of maple syrup if not requiring a vegan sweetener., Add toppings like yogurt, granola, or ricotta cheese at serving for added texture and richness., This salad keeps well refrigerated for 3-4 days, and apples stay fresh due to the dressing preventing oxidation.
